Pit Sand

Pit sand, an uncleaned inexpensive sand.

Pit sand is a mixture of sand, clay and very small rocks. This is great for filling holes or for using as a base layer or building up an area for projects such as concreting or driveways.

Mortar Sand

Mortar sand is the finest sand we sell, sourced also from our friends at Revital.

Mortar sand, as the name suggests, is used for creating mortar and other finer concrete mixtures. Commonly used with Gap 7 to create a fine smooth concrete.

Building Aggregates

GAP 7 (Crusher Fines / Crusher Dust)

Commonly known as crusher fines or crusher dust.

GAP - General All Passing - 7 is a crushed metal building aggregate that ranges in size from dust to 7mm. Easy to remember because it fills in all the gaps and is up to 7mm.

Perfect as base layer before paving, or before laying down a decorative stone as it works to keep the ground level and avoids creating holes and mounds. Compact after laying!

GAP 20 (Driveway Gravel / Concrete Metal)

GAP 20, GAP 7's big brother.

GAP - General All Passing - 20 is a crushed metal building aggregate that ranges in size from dust to 20mm. Good way to remember is its called GAP 20 because its up to 20mm and fills in the gaps! This means it compacts down into a really sturdy dense layer. If you're looking for driveway gravel this is it.

GAP 20 is used to provide the strength to most concrete mixtures. Mix it with paving sand and cement to create your typical concrete for pads and driveways! We sell a pre-mixed mixture of sand and GAP 20 here too for your use, called Builders Mix.

Drainage Metal

A clean metal graded from 20-45mm, with no dust.

From the same stone as the Gaps, this metal differs in function quite drastically, instead of compacting down to form a solid layer this metal functions to allow cracks and holes throughout the layer so that water may pass through it.

Commonly used around drainage coils and behind retaining walls, it is also used to fill large pot holes (before applying a top layer of Gap 20), or act as a strong sturdy base before putting finer aggregates on top.

Builder's Mix

Builder's mix is both building aggregate and sand!

Comprised of one part paving sand to two parts Gap 20, builder's mix is made to be mixed with water and cement to form concrete. We mix it here on site so you don't have to.

If you need different ratios or different materials (Gap 7 or mortar sand), get in contact with us so we can sort something out! Perhaps some pre-mixing in the trailer, or truck for delivery, or if you need a lot we might have a spare bin to mix it up in too.
